Thanks Chris! The eyes seem to have divided opinion, but I like them, so they will stay. {Did n't Anglo Saxons come from Northern Europe to Britain?}
I've added two differently shaped plastic 'observation' domes now, but no luck on a death ray array yet!

The submariners of the Kaiser's Navy painted eyes on their UB-class U-Boats, Trireme-style, so it is not entirely without Germanic precedent.

Whoa, never seen that one, so please ignore the exclusivity aspect of my former post...

I still think, though, that they look somehow strange. But if you like it, keep it!
