Haha, I can just picture the "denizens" catching some poor bugger and discussing his fate.
"Say, him looks not right, some'ow..."
"Weel, he's a stranger is what he is."
"I don't mind strangers, but this stranger ain't from these parts..."

Anyway, it's bound to be a rather nasty moment in the "stranger's" life.  :D

The local Peasantry might just be more motley than the Goblins..perhaps. A GREAT collection of suitably wretched minis & VERY WELL DONE!

Superb job on the goblins, I am impressed. I like your skin tone, it is really good.

Can I ask where the goblin with redcap and the one between the denizen and the rhoninstorm ones come from (I think he has an eyepatch)? They look cool.

Red lad is an 80's citadel, I'm not sure which is the other you're referring to, but I think you're talking about one of the Mega Miniatures ones? Great figures and very crisp casts. The only downside is that they're quite different in style and appreciably larger... http://freeboardgamesnow.com/search.aspx?find=GOBLIN I just cut the bases off and hope for the best.

Well. I'm not sure if I can be accused of thread necromancy for doing this, I'ts MY corpse, and I'll do what I like with it!

Honestly, I've run out of a bit of momentum with this project, the idea still grabs me, I'm hovvering around the idea of jacking it all in and going 15mm. Nothing serious. More likely I will sell the figures which I have bought in order to make up army-sized forces and stick to skirmish sized engagements, if you'd like some kingmaker or front rank figs, stay tuned...

Anyhow, here is what I have managed to get up to recently, I figured that I'd share what little is going on.

Perry and... errr.... Kingmaker? 'Guards'. I have no real purpose for these. I'm sure they could man a toll house or similar until their narratively convenient deaths.

New recruits for the bucolic bowmen. Front Rank and Perry and Abnor himself. His relatively flashy attire does little to detract from an accent that sounds like a slowly turning millstone.

A few new villagers. Front Rank and... I'm really sorry, I've forgotten (EDIT, it's a Pro Gloria fig). And it's such a nice figure. The AWI guys have been simplified a bit (buttons etc scraped off), as inspired by the WFRP 1st ed book style.

Ramshackle troll. These are so daft and cheap everyone should get some. The rough paintjob suits it I think.

Here are some shots of a couple of buildings I've been working on. I'm dreading painting them to be honest...

And some bumf...

What a great project.  That building looks superb and I really appreciate the subtle palette you've used on your minis, too.  What rules are you using to game this?

None at the moment, I live in a town with a seemingly thriving FLGS but I'm a bit of a hermit. Probably Mordheim or another detailed skirmish game. Any suggestions?

I agree - the muted, earthy tones are working out really well.  Those buildings look very promising!

A small update:

Now, I'm not saying I've come to a decision here, but would anybody be interested in buying this stuff, and what sort of price would be expected? This is my only project in 28mm, and I can't shake the feeling that it's... wrong.

It's too bad that you're getting a feeling of "wrongishness" from this project - I think everything looks great!  I love your goblins, your men-at-arms look great, even the silly troll fits the theme.  That building is excellent, I'd be proud to have it on my table.
