By the power of Foromancy I hereby resurrect this thread!  lol

I've been thinking about sculpting a new version of the survivors for a while, since I think I can sculpt better now than back then + they are out of stock and out of production + I really want to... ;)

My main question is about the scale. I play mainly TWD these days and the figures are a bit bigger than regular 28mm, some of them 30mm to the eyes...I was thinking on making them compatible

What do you prefer, 28mm or rather a bit bigger (maybe 30mm to the eyes)?

Edit: I added one pic of the minis, superbly painted by Michi, since I think most of the pictures on the thread were erased by Tinypic. So you know about which minis I'm talking about  ;)

I prefer them to be 28mm, but hey - I take any I can get! I can't wait to have them on my painting desk...

28 or a scosh bigger is good for me. TWD is what I use as well as many 28 heroic scale miniatures.
I should be painting right now.

I'd do 28mm. If they run a bit "short" for something a bit larger, I think it doesn't register as odd. Especially for female figures. If the figures run large for other purposes, it always strikes me as weird. "Why is there an 8' tall woman/man" is a harder question to answer than "why is there a 5' tall man/woman?"

I prefer 28mm myself

28mm is God's own scale for gaming.

Thank you a lot for your comments, guys, that was very helpful. I like the point CookAndrewB did too, very useful to see it like that. 28mm then ;)

Really looking forward to your paintjob on them, Michi! :)

A new set would be great, 25-28mm rather than 28-32mm out of preference.

28mm. It's easier to put shorter figures on a thicker base than is is to cut the bases off TWD and put them on thin bases.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Hi!
I haven't managed yet to finish some new survivors yet, I was focusing on other projects, but finish this one figure, an adventurer in the "old Clearco style" who clearly has spent too much time in quarantine between adventures... ::)

I have made some items too: a Venus figurine, a canopic vase and a wooden idol.

Besides I have got a few castings, in case someone is interested.

Michi has done a terrific paintjob on a couple of them ;) You can see it in his thread: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=129266.0
