Minerva Armoured Car interior paint scheme
« on: November 20, 2011, 07:42:23 PM »
Just got my hands on 1st Corps resin Minerva Armoured Car.  I've never been totally convinced by resin one piece models, but this is a little beauty.  Does anyone know what colour the interior would have been painted?  Given that its open to the sky I would have thought something appropriate?

I would have thought that it would be a light grey (even though it's open topped) to reflect the light

I seem to remember seeing different photos showing either a light colour or the same as the exterior so I don't think it matters (but you'd better check first  :) ).

Most pictures I can find indicate light grey as the interior colour.

Well there was at least one Belgian car (Mors) that really ended up in Siberia in 1917 ! So China is not that improbable :D

The Mors was the armoured car used by the Belgian unit in Russia. In 1917 , during the revolution, they retreated following the Transiberean railroad. Near the end of this journey, 4 men deserted with a car and joined Semenov and his cossacks.
