My East Africa Armies
« on: December 10, 2007, 06:04:59 AM »
Well... Not 'Armies' at all... With just 14 German, 10 KAR and 7 Massai they hardly can be considered an 'army'...

I painted myself the Germans and the Massai, but the KAR (Brigade Games) were painted by a friend of mine that has a painting service.

So far I have not found a ruleset that I like to have a game with so few miniatures (waiting now for my T&T rules that I bought from Brigade Games  :D ) and that's why I didn't continue expanding my collection, as my game group (3 people...   ) game just SYW. Not that I don't like SYW. I love it! But I would like to game BoB and Africa too...

Here the Massai (and once I am sure I know how to upload images will do with the rest)

Thanks for the compliments!

The Massai were fun to paint, though I spent a lot of time with them. I want to paint some more soon... but now I am busily painting some 20mm Rhodesians for a modern game with my children!  :)

Now the KAR. These miniatures were painted by El Mercenario (he likes to use his nom de guerre when showing his work, so I will respect that wish.

More figs...

These are a couple of Belgian askaris. So far they are alone, poor things!    But I intend to recruit at least another 8 plus one Belgian officer.

And the final showdown!

A German officer and a panorama (not very realistic... I know... But we needed something to open an article in the mag! )

Do you know which issue your article will feature in?

Its a very good magazine & having some colonila content will only improve it!
