I have been tinkering with some super simple rules based on the DBA combat rules.
Uses a single D6, and there is no keeping track of hit points.
If you get hit, you either get a minor wound or a critical wound.
Minor wounds will annoy the PCs but a critical wound may put you out of the combat...unless you make a Con save.
A critical wound will put a NPC out of the fight (not necessarily killing him though) Mooks dont get a save though, only higher powered NPCs
It makes for real fast combat rounds
I may upgrade to a d10 for more leeway in the roles, but It doesnt really keep the "super simple" aspect.
