40mm Old West figure collection
« on: December 13, 2007, 07:02:12 PM »
OK, sorry, I'm just showing off a bit- but I finished painting all of my 40mm Old West figures and I feel like a little kid who wants to show everyone what I did :)  I'll celebrate properly with a shot of rotgut at the bar tonight.

I'm a Sash and Saber stagecoach away from finishing the entire collection of figures, buildings, wagons and accessories. All of this is used for my Gutshot games.

Very, very nice, EC! Painting larger scale miniature certainly has its appeal. I think I have appointed the school marm, middle row to the right, my favorite.

Showing off is waht this forum is all about!

Wow, very nice! I'd also like to know the manufacturer(s). I think some are the HLSBC stuff, but I don't recognize a lot of them.

Thanks- They are all HLBS figures.  They are from the 40mm Old West, Old West Townsfolk and Spaghetti Western ranges. Link:

(The horses are from Sash and Saber, by the way)

Excellent painting. The way you've got them set up looks like one of those cast photos they take for film publicity, it would make a good poster. :)

I really like the way you 'understate' many of the hightlights. Makes the minis look very 'real-life'!

Holy crap those are cool, awsome paint job and a great scene!  Now I want to actually see a 40mm figure in real life to see just how big they are.
