The Lead Painters' League Season 6
« on: January 22, 2012, 10:13:54 PM »
I'm very glad to announce the Lead painters' League Season 6!

After a wonderful season 5, Richard and Ray will take some time out I will be running the league by myself again. So I hope the both guys will be able to participate this time and to please us with some amazing teams.

Please notice there are some very important changes on the rules, so please check carefully the rules thread:

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=37133.0

here again the overview about the most important changes:

1) The number of entrants will be limited to 50.
2) To qualify the participation on the League you have to enter 3 new teams, not only one as in the previous seasons.
3) The registration for the Season 6 of LPL is only possible in the window of 5 days (27.02-03.03.12)
4) Any "Photoshop" manipulation of the photos is no longer allowed.

Thsi thread is for general discussion on the LPL6. All your rules questions please post to (same link again):

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=37133.0

As usual we ask you all to be careful with your comments on the running entries. Keep your comments constructive. Feel free to tell us
your opinion about entries but DON'T post any comments with any sort of "quality comparison" of the pics.

Some "no-go" examples:
- Entry A is great but I have to vote for entry B, this is so much better.
- Well entry A is so manifestly superior to entry B, that I cannot understand why so many people are voting for entry B.
- Entry A is running for the third time, so I give my vote to the Entry B, it's a newly painted one.

Any comments of this or similar sort will be deleted/censored without warning.

And now get painting. Good luck to everyone!

Do we have to write up some kind of `summary` as to why one thinks he deserves a spot in the `Hallowed Fifty`?

Old school hmmm I have a still unopened blister of models from 1978... guess now is as good a time as ever to finally open it, slowly catching up in the lead mountain  lol

I'm going to need to do some research on my lead pile... I'm sure I have some pre-1991 but they're pretty fugly :)

I've been looking forward to this announcement. The Old Metal round should be interesting, though I may be compelled to risk a 15mm entry rather than go fishing on eBay.

The rules changes are great! It will hopefully lead to quality over quantity and will prohibit dolts like me from entering the same old team several rounds in a row. Looking forward to this - I hope to participate, but I'm not sure I'll be able to finish that many teams in time.

Now put on your fighting trousers gentlemen, have a cup of tea and start painting your darned best!

Edit: Questions moved to appropriate thread!

Gonna have to this hard about entering this year. Not sure I'd be able to meet any of the theme rounds, esp. Tolkien...
