Confederate Signal Station

This is model is from the wonderful Redoubt miniatures range which I'm very, very fond of and when I saw this I knew I had to have it. The signal flags are hand painted and the model was done mostly with Foundry and Vallejo paints plus some MIG pigments.
Confederate signal corps operated similar to their union counterparts, but with two distinct differences in that they used flags and messengers exclusively as they didn't have access to enough telegraph wire and they also included espionage in addition to battlefield missions.

You made my day! Just back from work and I see this beautifull vignette. You´re ACW project is constantly growing, isn´t it?

Excellent paintjob!  I really like non-fighting vignettes for the tabletop. It adds that extra finishing touch.

Most games probably as an atmospheric piece, but some games it will act as an objective marker or command point.

The bushels/plants are from "Mini Natur". The flowers and and small trees are from "Heki" and the rocks are from "Noch" if I remember correctly as I had them stored in cup.
