Hi Guys,

I (we) are looking for figs 28mm, 1984 era.
Yes we are planning on playing the Cold War.
I know of Eureka but are there any others with 28mm Cold War?
Cheers,

There are the Gripping Beast (MO-FO) Falklands War figures and also the Mongrel Miniatures line which are available - a bit patchily - from Newline Design.

Hmmmm.... seeing the amount of views on this post and "just" one reply I guess this is going to be a tough one.
I have the Mo-Fo stuff. British Marines converted to Dutch Marines.

Okay thanks all for looking if anybody sees anything which might be related to the 80's please let me know!

Unfortunately when the one reply pretty much has it covered, as far as what's about, you aren't going to get many more replies.   :)

28mm Modern gaming, outside of Vietnam and present Afghanistan etc, is a virtual desert unfortunately. Eureka is predominantly the only company producing 'new' models outside of the 'big two' and MoFo and Mongrel haven't released anything new in a while (short answer.. there are of course reasons for this).

Company B are about to release some early Soviet vehicles, which may prompt someone to come out with something for the Cold War, figure-wise, as will the FoF 'Cold War' supplement. Otherwise the sticky topic 'Manufacturers of Modern 28mm figures' should answer your questions in any case.

Seeing '1984' as a topic title is likely to have generated a lot of views by people expecting a miniatures take on the George Orwell  novel, or the John Hurt film... which would have been quite cool actually.

 :)

Thanks!

I'll update on the project.
I know 20mm has a lot more to offer but 28mm is "my" size.
