You've done a good job on those.  When I first saw the mount I though 'meh' but you've certainly made a crappy figure look good.

And, SERIOUS fun, Chris!

I've never noticed how unbalanced they look to me, I've already admitted to not much GW play, but you've redeemed those cold ones in my eyes.

I think the mounts are very cool and the conversion of the Amazons well done!

The should be rather fearsome on the table, I would imagine.  :)

Thanks for the positive comments!  I'm glad you all like how they turned out.  Hopefully will have pictures of the archer unit up by the end of the week.

The archer unit is finished. The infantry unit, cavalry unit, and archer unit are the total units I plan for this force at this point. I would like at some point to perhaps add a High Priestess and a Queen.

Excellent, mate!

The archers came out swell, making quite a force!

Nice looking units overall... good use of "kit bashing" techniques. 8)

Don't be upset by thread necromancy + hijacking, but the new miniatures for the Tsolyani Aridáni Legion of Lady Mríssa, 19th Imperial Medium Infantry
from   http://thetekumelproject.blogspot.fr/2012/05/gangs-all-here.html
would also make great 'non-Earthling' Amazons.

Give her a blue skin
(and maybe, given that a chainmail bikini offers far better protection than a full suit of plate armor, a generous cleavage)

http://thetekumelproject.blogspot.fr/2012/05/pre-orders-aridani-legion-of-lady.html

The world of Tékumel created by the late M.A.R. Barker is extremely original, the various human cultures for once are not historical ones masquerading under an assumed name, thus the corresponding figurines are specially appropriate for an extra-terrestrial human civilization of Ancient-Medieval level. Though it would probably not be very difficult to give some types of warriors a kind of musket with plug bayonet and an ammo pouch, for instance.
