Many thanks again to all contributors so far!

Does anybody have a suggestion for ranges to scale with Victrix (interested in EIR in particular)?

Also, in the original post it looks as though Warlord scale well with the Perry Foundry range and not much else - can anybody confirm please?

I've seen Aventine and sculpts by Steve Saleh used as command figures in units of Victrix models (no photos, sorry). I'd say, though, that's as far as mixing goes since plastic minis have a certain, somewhat delicate style, which is – at least to my eye – noticeably different from any metal range out there.

As it stands, yes. Warlord's EIR were scaled to specifically match Foundry's (Perry) range for that period. Gripping Beast's (Colin Patten) Romans were a decent alternative but they seem to have vanished. ???

That's very useful, thanks. I'm torn between liking the Victrix which have a slightly limited range and the Warlord which run a bit small but have plenty of options. I've been looking this morning and there doesn't actually seem to be much difference cost wise other than Warlord's cavalry boxes being quite a bit pricier.

I am looking at armoured Cretan archers by Relic miniatures....very nice looking figures but does anyone have an idea of how they compare in size with Victrix or Footsore ? Any advice would be gratefully received
