Thanks for the commit, I solder all my men with low melting point solder to pennies’ , do same for putting pewter model tanks together and the bigger bases are brass plate, buy them in hobby shop 50mm wide around 300mm in length ,so no bend or curl.
The camouflage I was trying to show most of the different mix and match the germen used, more so from Normandy onwards. It’s not so much hard as time consuming, in real live you would not see the detail till you got up close . So I try and paint them as if I was standing back, seeing the outline but not detail. The helmet’s I mix and match too, from early war colours to late, I have some decals I have yet to put on, but I tend to leave them off so I got a generic type troop no hard and fast regiments. But I must get the sergeant strips on .
I did try and get the fade on them, but when I have time I may try and weather them, my be some mud on boots and such. Plus am only starting to use Mig pigments and such, I know they have brought out some made up weathering wash ,may give it a try.
And they are for gaming dare say in a few month ill need to retouch them up.
