Both very good entries, the LotR Fellowship got my vote just because the painting had a bit more depth/contrast. Both excellent entrants though.

Love the fellowship entry, my favourite of this round!

For me these are near the best two, seems a shame to vote

But the faces in the fellowship... WOW

@D@rth J@ymZ: Your setup is fantastic and you choose very unusual miniatures. All the best for the LPL!

Both great entries and also they blend well with each setting. Bravo.

I want to ask a question, since I am not very familiar with fantasy miniatures.
From the skull harbor: the figure in blue and yellow holding a bird (is that an owl I cannot find out) from which range/manufacturer is it?

"The Encounter at Skull Harbor" is a Grenadier boxed set from 1988. The figure in blue and yellow holding the hooded falcon is described as a "Merchant".

Thanks for all the comments and a special nod to Frank.  There's absolutely no shame being beaten by your fantastic entry.  Good luck through the rest of LPL; although I doubt that you'll need it... ;)

Superlative presentation Frank, love it  :-* Can't stand the figures but that's neither here nor there   lol

D@rth's entry get's my nod, superb colour choice sometimes wins out over precision  :-* And I love that mer-lancer  8)

The fellowship are very nicely done and its nice to see an alternative to the GW style...
My only critique - all the figures look like they've got their eyes closed.
