Hello from Kuwait
« on: March 05, 2012, 08:14:20 PM »
Greetings all from surprisingly cold Q8. Back in the hobby after a 35 year hiatus. My main interests are WWI, Interwar years, Latvia and bits of the Middle-East/North Africa. Former old interests are ECW, SYW and Franco-Prussian War... I suppose on the edge of popular periods rather than mainstream. However an interesting sculpt or new or eclectic project never goes amiss.
The Wingnut Wings range of aircraft are in 1:32... 54mm and have aircraft operated by the Latvian Naval Air Service and Latvian Air Force 1919+ so figures make machines come to life!
It is my hope/aim to make some mini-dioramas that make this tell some historical story.
Dievs, svētī Latviju!

Welcome pal.

May you have a long and merry stay with us.
I know you're too old to play with toy soldiers. So give them to me... NOW!

Funny enough, the last couple of weeks was cold at night - the coldest I have known it since 1988. Q8 is not that much above sea level unlike the southern Gulf. Do I love Oman or do I LOVE Oman! A couple of thousand metres up it is cooler!
Nice some words stuck... language is culture and communication! :)
