Just painted 9 of these guys. Rest I ever buy will be Artizan and NOT Old Glory.

I agree they turned out rather well. Were the castings that bad in the metal ?

Can't blame you for switching to Mike Owen's Artizan figures though : very nice figures that seem to paint themselves.

Hi, well... I painted the same miniatures and I must say you painted them very good.
I dont think they are bad at all, once they are painted

Brilliant painting, Dr Viking. The miniatures look quite decent for OG, but it seems that's a result of your paint-job.

"our friengs beneath the sands" all about our motley legionaires ..
makes for a superb read......must do some legion figs......soon

Well thank you lot!

I must say though that I painted them very quickly and only with a minimum of detail. I didn't even paint eyes on them.

Clothing for example is just blue with black wash and a 'dust' weathering. So maybe the image is helping the look a little.

No you're right - it's the kind of figures that will look OK when you amass them. I'm just so used to small skirmishes (I think) that I tend to be very critical of the sculpts.

Actually I like Old Glory pirates and own a lot of them. A bit crude but very nice ideas there.
