Hover tank scratchbuilt from toy tank.
« on: March 18, 2012, 12:42:08 AM »

I got this toy tank from a military play set that was a pretty good scale.  The tank is about the size of a Games Workshop Predator.  I considered painting it up as is but then decided to make it look more sci-fi by adding some bits from a 1/35th scale X-wing fighter.  That looked pretty good but then I decided to make a hover tank so I cut the tracks down and made a hover drive from cheap razor handels.  I'm pretty happy with the look.

Sometimes 'quick and dirty' = the best results. Nicely done....!!

One miniature is too many, and a thousand are not enough...

I love all your projects!  The hover tank looks great.  I just picked up a couple of the sets this comes in.  I originally got the set for the truck with the rockets that come with this tank, but you have given me some ideas.
