Modern/futuristic 28mm vehicles in the UK
« on: March 27, 2012, 12:29:09 PM »
hey all, I'm hoping to be playing some games of tommorrows war with people at my club soon, and I'm looking to find some modern or future 28mm vehicles, I know this section of the forum only covers one of those periods, but thats ok as I will be posting this in the other relevant section.

so yes, any help would be appreciated, I do recall a company selling a 1/56th scale chieftain tank, if anyone knows it that would be a great start as its a gorgeous tank

Thanks

Military or civilian?

If civilian AND futuristic, then look towards Atenociti's and Zombiesmith for a few designs.

Atenociti's also do a growing range of futuristic military vehicles.

S&S Models have a decent range of modern vehicles, but you'll have to e-mail them for a list.
Sloppy Jalopy do the old Chieftain Models range of Modern vehicles.
Imprint Models also do some modern tanks and other vehicles etc. At time of posting their site is experiencing some difficulties though.
Company B are also starting out in 'Moderns' too.
Wargames Command Post carries a variety of vehicles from these and other manufacturers in the UK.

Die-Cast vehicles will be your main source of civilian vehicles though. Anything from 1:43 downwards, most die-casts are of a vague 1:Box scale, so you might get some that are too big, some too small... pot luck really.

I'm not sure about the correctness of the translation ...
Are you interested in the tank "Chieftain"?
In Russia, selling a toy that's made of metal and light illumination. This toy - no more than a metal tank model "Chieftain-1" on a scale 1/56! Only need to remove the lighting equipment, should be pushed into the gun barrel and glue (he fold), a little tweak terrain on the tower tank "Greenstaff". And of course repaint.
