Thank you, sir.
Much appreciated.

Something else recently finished that will work well in some SA settings, a subway entrance'.

This has been purchased to mainly see use in my Outland Settlement (sci-fi) project, but as that has not 'officially' started yet, and it could well see action in SA, I shall post pics of it here.

The subway is from Knights of Dice and is a wonderful piece of design.

The 'stairs' section has been left unattached as I may want to use the subway with actual stairs descending to another lower level, ya never know......

That’s a great idea for the steps! I’ve got one of these on the painting table. I need to steal that idea! ;)

Steal away, chaps, as I am pretty sure that I count as stealing it from the descending stairs on Heroquest or something anyway.
Andy: I am certainly gonna steal plenty of your ideas when I start building my sci-fi table later this week.

I know that all three of you have some of the KOD kits. Bloody lovely design and workmanship, eh?

I also picked up 68 O'Neill, which I am going to get to soon enough, and the popcorn carts, which make great scatter terrain.
In fact, I shall be ordering more carts and another Subway next month, as well as another building if I finish this lot beforehand.
Any other 'must-have's' from your own orders?

Here are the popcorn carts, still WIP. Both are converted somewhat, with the intention of using them mainly in the sci-fi set-up although I may build one of the next acquisitions 'straight' to use in more 'real-world' settings....

'Shipwreck Scenery.. M.O.O.S.(E). Ministry of Occult Studies (England) UD:05/11
« Reply #3277 on: November 05, 2018, 02:09:40 PM »
Back on page 71 (which was way back in 2012!), I posted the idea to transform my 'treeboat' into a piece of scenery.
Well, it took a long time but I eventually got around to doing at after seeing the Gloomtide Shipwreck thing released by GW which gave me the kick up the backside that I needed to get it done.

It began life like this....

....but I wanted it to fit in as many settings as possible, so it had to match my other stuff.

Right then, the WIP of the thing....

1. The ship thing was removed from its old acrylic base.

2. Then sawn in half ( I had forgotten all those slotta bases inside).

3. Rebased on plywood and angled foam risers put in to tilt it.

4.Plenty of green stuff was used to help hold it all together and strengthen it.

5. New stuff undercoated in 50/50 mix of paint and PVA.

It was now ready to repaint and tart up.

A few passes over with a large drybrush using various shades of grey and the base 'tufted up' and the 'shipwreck' is finished and ready for the table.

Shots of the individual sections.....

It also includes a bonus 'tree' which was from a branch which was found laying around minding its own business.

It should work just fine for Strange Aeons as well as OGAM, Lemonade Wars and a whole host of fantasy uses.

Cheers, Colin!
The ground cover is just a mix of sand, static grass and tufts arranged randomly.

It was fun to make and I now have the GW shipwreck to add to the mix when I get time.
They should make useful scenery for a forthcoming campaign set in Foulmouth.

Bearing that particular campaign in mind I have painted up a set of The Conclave as latter stage Hybrids for use in that....

(Please forgive the glare from the lighting....  ::))

This thread is great, love the hybrids!

I think my son might have that Innsmouth look, at least he had it yesterday at Stockholm museum of nautical history...
