Russian civil war supplement ?
« on: November 30, 2013, 05:04:56 PM »
While reading T&T rules today for the 100th time (always entertaining),
I just found out that one russian civil war supplement was expected to be produced.
Any news from the T&T team? May we eager players dream of additional supplements?
cheers
Stefano

Thank you Stefano. Also on behalf of Chris.

I am torn when it comes to a RCW supplement.I think you can easily create your own RCW forces with the excisting rules. I dont believe in supplements for every period. And when I am honest I am personally not happy with rules systems that milk customers with dozens of supplements. But... after visiting the Partizan Con that Ben Turbo organized with his brother I may change my mind.

Next with T+T is a free download. New rules, rules clarification and update.

There will be something published in 2014.

It took so long because I was very busy and not 100 % fit

Cheers
Björn

Dear Bjorn,
many thanks for your explanations, I am very happy about these news, new rules and updates are very welcome!
We plan to organize a large game around Christmas in our club in Rome, hope to contribute to your change of mind with nice photos and smiling faces.

Just some pointers that may be helpful:

The "Libertad ó Muerte" supplement, while focused on the Spanish Civil War, also features various pre-constructed armoured car types, including Austin, Rolls-Royce, Lanchester and Garford-Putilov patterns.

Also, there's a free PDF for download that contains preconstructed army lists for Freikorps and forces of the German Left in 1919-20. You could use these with some modification or as inspiration on how to generate RCW forces.

Here's the link to the thread:

Also, if you could tell me what you are particularly looking for (e.g. preconstructed armoured cars beyond those in the LoM book, pointers on force construction etc.), post it here and I'll try to be of assistance. Obviously, as it will not in all cases be playtested, there may be some issues, but it should be reasonably easy to construct forces using the basic rulebook as described by Driscoles.

Dear Chris,

for some reason I have not wandered in this Forum for a while. I just read your answer now!

I will try to put up a list of things that may go in my games. I think that in general I would need
just some special figures to add flavour to the game, maybe some equipment as well.

Tatchankas and armoured trains, or just plain trains is something which comes to my mind now.

Cheers
Stefano

@Stefano

I had no problems whatsoever making RCW armies for T&T, and also worked out some train rules for it.
PM me if You want a copy
