Dwarves vs Bolshies!

The hair on the dwarves, especially the braids, caught my eye. Very nice use of quite aggressive highlighting.

Is the armoured car the Copplestone Garford-Pulitov Heavy? It looks bigger in the image on the Copplestone website, if it is.

Dwarves always hit my weak spot but the Bolsheviks are really inspired. Nice brushwork to both. The different techniques made it a tough choice

LPL 6 seems to be the "League of Tough choices"....
Hard to choose on the vast majority of matchups, all really great painting!

Where are the dwarves from?

They are from Gamezone:
http://gamezoneminiatures.de/zwerge.html

Usually they are recommended for gamers who want to have an alternative for their GW-minis, cause they fit in size and design very much to it. But they also have some really nice posing ideas for them, too, although that sometimes makes it a bit tricky in case of GW's rank&file.
In this case I used two sets: two handed weapon hammerers and clan-warriors. Weapons and shields are extra bits. With the "two handers" one have to pay a little more effort in finding the best combination (sometimes using rasps and such).
And with some there are more flashes than usual, but normally that is not a problem. They usually came in packs of three, but not in all cases.
And - as You can see - they are all some sort of scotish style.
Funny thing is, that there is a musician, too, but that one is noticably bigger in size (that's why I did not add him here).

but - to sum it up - gamezone has some cool minis!  :D

Thanks, Drachenklinge!
You're right, lots of little gems in their range, I'm rather tempted to see if I can shuffle a few into the gaming budget...
