Pirate table
« on: 08 April 2012, 06:07:36 PM »
We had a busy day yesterday. Managed to cover my garden and the two rabbits out there in dust.
We started with three pink foam boards which we cut into the shapes we wanted then sanded them all flat. We then started to scribbed in the stone work. Loads more to do but the pictures show our progress so far.

The idea is to have a lot of different pieces that can be arranged in different patterns to create different harbours.
We need to build a loads of stairs and ramps and bridges to joint the various bits.
If anybody has any good pic for inspiration it would be helpful.

Somehow, lots of different levels always seem to make a good board even better.

That looks awesome already!

What you really need are some towers, Walls and asymmetric bridges though ;)

Your ships, I demand to know how you came by them!

I've been planning a large-scale Warhammer Fantasy game involving ships and need to make/ get/ find at least three large vessels! D:
*Edit; I looked through your posts, I see you make it all. I will be peering through it all soon for ideas!*

The terrain is utterly beautiful, I hope some day I can find the motivation and discipline needed to dig in for the long haul of projects!

If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

The idea is to make a harbour more like the real thing with streets and passageways that lead up and away from the waterfront. Hopefully by the time there's a ton of buildings on it, it looks better.

It's probably worth mentioning that we're really just copying what Faber is doing with his Mordheim board but just adding levels to give height........
