Hey P.,

Quote from: "Plynkes"
Coming along nicely.

Thanks, mate.

Good news here. Not all forums are so positive. Some are full of unhappy blokes waiting to try and drag others down with them.

One thing: Crow's nests?

Well...

Quote from: "Plynkes"
Do you want to be laughed out of the Caribbean as an infernal lubber?

Seriously, I AM a lubber and know next to nothig about the ways of the sea... LOL

I'm just happy I didn't stick the mats in the wrong end...

Quote from: "Plynkes"
An 18th Century fighting ship wouldn't have a crow's nest. But then again, pirates wanting to appear to be nothing more than a harmless merchantman might retain one for purposes of disguise...

News to me...

Quote from: "Plynkes"
But I'd still laugh and point and call you a sissy pirate!  :)

Well, I want my ship mostly for Pirates! and tantasy gaming so I suppose it would be a laugh ...right up until the undead crew press gangs you to death and eternal service! LOL  8)

Positive vibes to all!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Maks, if you check the rest of the discusion it would seem my pronouncements on crows nests were perhaps a little premature.

Most folks seem to agree that you should go with what you think looks good, rather than worrying about historical accuracy anyway. And as far as Pirates go, I agree with that.

P.S. I saw how things turned sour for you in another place (where I tend to lurk for amusement's sake rather than posting). I wouldn't worry about it. Besides, internet forum fights are loads of fun from a spectator's perspective. And nobody will even remember it in a week anyway.

I'm in it for the fun and wenches... and since the wenches seem to be in short supply, I might as well make a lark of it!

Unhappy people leave stains in the carpet ...and their own trousers. So it goes.

I never understood the whole scuffle thing that went on there and at TMP. Now, I do. I won't condemn all the folks there, but I will post less there and that's their loss. There's isn't an infinite supply of folks willing to be positive and post good mini photos.

My robo-posts aren't perfect, but they do have content and that's worth something. I can spend my time better elsewhere doing other things.

I don't need to bark to prove who I am.

Thanks for writing.

I'd rather be talking about the 28mm undead, pirates, and the like anyhoo!

Positive vibes to all!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
