Love those Doctor Marten boots, especially as I had an ox-blood coloured pair circa 1980 :)

Still got my cherry reds. Bought them in Leeds in the early 90s. The 14-hole sort that go halfway up your leg and take all day to lace up.  :)

They cost me £60 quid at the time which I thought was an outrageous fleecing of the customer. They cost exactly double that nowadays.

Lovely job on the figure, boots and all.

I wanted oxbloods but couldn't ever get them. Then I got a job and decided I didn't want to pay $100 for awesome shoes.

I spent that money on RIFTS books.

Jien kulm' ghandi zraben miksija b'demm il-ghogol,

Funnily, there's no word in Maltese for boots! So I used zraben (shoes) instead - over here we'd call boots - er - boots. Thus a pair of boots are 'par boots'.

PS - don't care for oxblood boots, but I DO like that paint job. Grand :) :)
Or as we'd say here, tal-genn (g = j here; a literal translation would be that's crazy - but in a very good way).
