I've just, amongst lots of other things, ordered THIS From Heresy.
Now, it's muliti part - scroll down to see the options.  I'm considering keeping the scimitar-type sword in the right hand, but converting the rapier-type sword in the left hand to a dagger, or stiletto knife.  Any views?

Views as in "No, you fool! Stop at once!"

or "Great Idea!"

or "Great Idea and what you should do is drill a small hole through the handguard of the rapier and insert a small bit of wire, cut to length so that it looks like a crossguard. Use guitar string or those super tungsten wires that come with the Battletech mechs. Then apply a couple of dabs of superglue to the tips of the wire to form the buttons of the crossguard. If you then cut the raiper down to the length of a nice main-gauche, you should get an excellent looking off-hand dagger."

I think the latter view might be the most helpful.

I just bought this figure a few weeks ago, too. Still trying to decide how to arm him (kudos to Heresy for all the optional bits that come with their figures). I quite like the look of him with the two swords, actually. Looks like he's in the middle of a tumultuous fight, having just grapped a pair of random, mis-matched weapons from where-ever. It fits the whole swaggering look he has going on.

As an aside, Ral Partha Europe and Iron Wind Metals make a nice swashbuckling fig (titled "Swashbuckler Thief") that already comes with a basket-hilted dagger in one hand. The weapon in the other hand could do with replacing, though:

"When to keep awake against the camel's swaying or the junk's rocking, you start summoning up your memories one by one, your wolf will have become another wolf, your sister a different sister, your battle other battles, on your return from Euphemia, the city where memory is traded." - Italo Calvino

Thanks for the ideas.  And the Ral Partha figure info.  :)
