What ? Hammershield's imagination ?

The idea of the Kennel club of Monimasket was pure genius, but it's [very] more* impressive to had a new member each week...

seconded! That was my first VERY GREAT inspiration of this year. Now in my opinion every wargamer needs his own club. At least I need one. And I will have one. You will see :-)

I think I have at least ten new members of the club to make known to the public in the near future. I try to show them at a comfortable speed.

A few teasers:

Brigadier (ret.) Sir Carlos Plynkes, GBE, VC, GCSI, LoH (France), OoE (Denmark) etc., etc., formerly of the Brecknock and Radnorshire, formerly of the KAR... and the honorary Rottweiler "Buster".

Herr Kohl and his doberman pincher bitch "Schmetterling" aka. "Schmetty".

Mr Lucifer Box and the Pit Yorkshire Terrier "Precious".

What is an "honorary" Rottweiler?  :?:

I agee with the other comments - you came up with a very fun theme to play with. I'm boggled there are that many dog minis on the market.

Order of the Elephant is only ever given to heads-of-state. He might have gotten the Grand Commander Cross of the Order of Dannebrog, though

EDIT: I seem to have a new forum-title.... guess that means, I have to find another avatar....

Sir Carlos obviously was and exception. Don't ask me why, I didn't give it to him. King Kristian X may have been drunk that day or something.

No doubt he was walking through the palace and saw one lying on the mantlepiece. Very softly, he asked: "Does this belong to anyone? No? Any objections if I take it?"

Sounds very much like another Flashman type. Mind you, I'd always suspected that was the case........

I was thinking more in the direction of Sir Carlos being secretly employed by the Danish court to bring forth the poll that brought back part of Slesvig (Schleswig) to Denmark in 1920 (as a result of Germany losing WWI)....

EDIT: And it's called a referendum, of course...

This whole thing is one of the neatest ideas ever, and furthermore, expertly executed.

You have to do a little hunting lodge or country estate for them to hang out in. And of course, on the grounds somewhere, a group of cultists is trying to excavate some hideous artifact. The whole place is criss crossed with ley lines and psyshic energies, which may account for the exceptional behavior of the dogs that begin to display an uncanny telepathic bond with their owners and an unusual intelligence.

Well, thank you. The funny thing is I never planned for it to be background material for a campaign. I've been buying dogs from various manufacturers (Mirlition, Obelisk, GW, Eureka, Mithril, Copplestone, RAFM, Reaper, Dixon...) and thought pairing them with owners was a good way to finish and display a portion of my lead pile.

I have updated the club records with a few new members, among which this fellow emerges:

Mr. Lucifer Box and the Yorkshie Terrier "Precious".

Unfortunately the pics are worse than usual and I have not gotten to do the fluff yet.
