Bloody Frank, how many table does he have now? lol
It sure does look like you got yourself a really nice convention going on :) Now, if I only could find tickets to Copenhagen that doesn't put me back 100 euros before I've even started my trip down to Esbjerg. Than adding another 80 for the trip in Denmark lol
I might fly instead, at least then I know that I'm being pulled over...

Sounds great, the more the merrier!!

Another game has just been signed up. Torben, Rune and Jonas from the club DFF (Dansk Figurspilsforening) will be presenting a WWII Arnhem game.

Quote
Arnhem, The Nederlands, September 1944

The bridge over the river Rhine at Arnhem was the main objective of operation”Market Garden”. The bridge was seized on the 17th by elements of the 2nd battalion and brigade headquarters of the 1st British parachute brigade. Under the command of lieutenant colonel John Frost the airborne forces quickly formed a perimeter at the north end of the Arnhem Bridge. The paras established themselves in strong fighting positions in the houses surrounding the bridge and placed their weapons with a good field of fire. However the German response was shift and effective. Soon Frosts men were surrounded and strong blocking positions prevented any reinforcement from the 1st Airborne division from reaching the bridge. From the 18th till the morning of the 21st the SS battle groups of Grabner, Knaust, Brinkmann and Hummel (all named after their commanders) would attack the perimeter in force.

Rules:
Crossfire, a company-level set of rules where one stand (3 figures) represents a squad and the where the focus is on the infantry combat. Terrain is to be used to cover your movement and establish a good base of fire in order to cover your troops’ movement by fire and to interdict the enemy’s movement by fire. The rules are innovative. They are easy to learn and fast paced but can at times be abstractive.

The scale is 20mm. Miniatures from AB figures, Battlefield Blitz miniatures, Fantassin warmodelling and TQD castings/cp models. Tanks and AFVs are various plastic kits. Buildings from Sentry models.

And a few more photos:

We're proud to present yet another spectacular game at this year's Horisont:

In Clouds of Glory
The rules have been over 15 years underway and will be presented here for the first time in this new and totally revised (and very thoroughly tested) version.

The game uses 1/350 scale 3D printed miniatures aircraft and uses a unique way of representing the attitude,  altitude and energy of the aircraft in a both simple and realistic manner.
In this game speed and altitude is life, but  every maneuver needed to get on the tail of the enemy drains energy. At the same time the players will have to weight the need to make aerobatic maneuvers with the ability of the pilot and will have to ask themselves: 'Will I gain enough tactical advantage by making this maneuver held against the risk of stalling the plane?'

We will run two parallel historically inspired scenarios on saturday, with different starting times.

The games will be run by the designers Thomas Greve and Svend  'Gimle' Larsen

Andrew Hart of Scotland fame is joining us this year with a game of woof:

Lambs to The Slaughter: A game of werewolves and sheep in the 19th Century!

It'll be a joint effort with myself... I'll be bringing the sheepishness

For those who played my 'Shh!...we're hunting wolves'  game at BLAM this promises to be slightly different. More akin to sheep dog trials but with werewolves.

Cheers

Great to hear! Payment conditions should be in the confirmation email you received (with the attached .pdf file). But yes, foreigners can pay at the venue - I know the bank-fees aren't small when it comes to international transactions...

What do you mean "which table"? It implies that you will not be bringing along all of your stuff, which surely cannot be true ;)
... I will leave it up to you, all your tables look smashing, so i cannot sit back here and be the judge. Perhaps someone else has an opinion.

And just to cast the attention on the shops attending the convention:

Hello,

I am back from the show.

I had a fantastic Friday and Saturday in Denmark. The hospitality at Horisont was outstanding. A big thank you to all you organizers and people who worked at the bar and kitchen and pampered us guests much more than we deserved.

Great tables too.
Modern War.
WW2 Arnheim, WW2 15 mm and 20 mm,
Air Combat Pacific,
Triumph & Tragedy Spanish Civil War,
WW1 Air combat with a very cool rule set ( in clouds of Glory ).
Sudan Colonial
Darkest Africa
Napoleonics
Saga Vikings with a hillarious group of Danes and probably one American ( I guessed from his accent ) who had big fun in plundering Hamburg over and over again.... Fun to watch  men around 50 playing a wargame they like  :)
Fantasy and Sci Fi Games.
There was a cool table in 15 mm Sci Fi. Well... lots to see and some Dealers with a good selection of games, colours, miniatures too.

I am sure you will see pictures of the event very soon. Horisont and Denmark  is worth a visit. I can`t get the grin from my face. What a great event. Go there next year !

Cheers
Björn
