My set arrived today and I did a small review on the blog, but here's the essence:

The four sets:

(this set comes with a Bar piece as well)

There is a small insignificant size variation within the range:

Nothing major IMO - but will probably make some of them more or less useful.

And for the "scale fascists" (like myself) :)

Compared to what I have laying here:

Thats an old Citadel LOtR Frodo, Hasslefree, Heresy, Foundry, Old Citadel C-Range Halfling, Darkling Games, White Knight Miniatures

Couldn't find my box of GW Imperial Halflings (quite wonder where those are) - but should give you a good impression.

Last, the only bad thing I can think of was the little handwritten message on my invoice that said: "at present we have no plans to release more Halflings. We hope you enjoy these four packs, though" - quite a bad decision, if you ask me :-(

Thanks DD :)

- and yes they are fantastic :-* - but think we are to blame Foundry for leave you in ignorance. As they have had these standing on their shelves for years, without telling us :)

I'm a bit miffed about the half inch thick bases... wonder how much they'd cut their production costs if they did a decent size instead.  ::)

They are stunning, really nice. It's also nice to see some 'old school' styled halflings with lots and lots of character.

Cheers

:) - yes, agreed. Looks like a drastic price-reduction could easily be achieved :P

Looks like they should scale nicely enough with the Battleforge and old Harlequin ones, too.  Vistas of possibility open.

Thanks Clam - and that comparison shot is quite useful.  We will certainly be picking some up.  White Knight first, though!

I'd never realised that halflings were fans of long distance running:

Glad I could I could help. And can understand your priorities - the new stuff from WK certainly looks sweet, too.
