The Vendel figures seem to be very similar (and probably easier to acquire these days...).

Still, when you want a Great Dane, I don't know if any other breed will do. It does seem rather odd that one was not produced along with "Those darned kids...!".

It seems that it was either a 1/64th or 1/18th scale kit. I guess I was hoping that it was 1/43. Anyone have a ny ideas for a cheap 1/43 VW van I could cut up? It seems the Corgi's etc on Ebay are a little pricey to chop up...

Audrey, since you seem to be looking for a "non-cartoonish" style, I suggest you to go with a 1963 Ford Econoline van (the original cartoon inspiration van) or a Chevrolet G-10 (the 2002 movie van) at 1:43 scale and do a suitable paint job:

Try the Econoline, it´s the original inspiration for the TV show´s van!

I could swear I saw a 1/43 "model"kit of the Mystery Machine at (dare I say it) WalMart about a year ago. it was prepainted and decaled, you just put the seats in and wheels on. Can't seem to find any reference to it now...shoulda put that in the "do something with it later file".

That´s it, but I´m not sure it´s 1:43... Can be found at Ebay.

That's the kit...still it looks to be the 1/64th scale version. Maybe I'll get one anyway for "reference material"...yeah thats it. :roll:
