When the Navy Walked in 6mm
« on: June 22, 2012, 10:32:28 PM »
Recently I have been discussing the idea of creating a full line of miniatures for WTNW in six millimeters.  The benefits would be that the landships, machines, behemoths and monsters should be to scale.  The other big benefit wild be that it would be cheap to field entire divisions on the battlefield.

Is this something you would buy?  I ask as now that I have some time to mull it over I am considering a few options for production that may indeed rival even the great Dystopian Wars.

Wtnw Earthin the Hollow World should be out next week if not tonight!

I eagerly await your responses.

Yes, I would seriously consider the miniatures at that scale [a favorite scale of mine] but I have concerns about the rules.

Gracias,

Glenn

Have you played the game?

Not yet, waiting for someone in the local area to run a  game so I can see the game in play.

Just got back today from Die Con 2012  where I tried two sets of rules I had not played before - Luftwaffe 1946 and I ain't been Shot Mum.  I don't buy rules any more unless I get to "test drive" them first.  Saves wasting money and then being unhappy with results.

Back on topic.  If/when I get a chance to play then I will make a decision about buying.  No Pig in a Poke buying of rules anymore for Madre Wilson's oldest son any more.

Right now, for smaller battles I use V&S&F.  I really don't have a rules set that I like for larger battles currently.

I would have bought Aquanef and Land Ironclad to go with Aeronef  if Aquanef had come out. That would have filled a niche for me.

Gracias,

Glenn

The quick play version and errata are available free on warahamevault.  The sabotage espionage phase has been removed as have the advanced rules but that version has a lot of meat. Enough to play with and get a good grasp of the mechanics.
