I'm favoring HMS Pusillanimous, but I doubt if you'd find that acceptable, save, perhaps, in a Gilbert and Sullivan scenario...  lol

The Official name is now (drumroll please)...

HMAS DRAGONFLY

Now I need to figure out which font to do the name decal in.

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly        (Stencil)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly        (Algerian)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly       (Black Adder)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly           (Brush Script)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly    (Copperplate Gothic)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly    (Engravers)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly       (Lucida Calligraphy)

DRAGONFLY      Dragonfly       (Old English Text)

Hmmm  ???

I reckon either copperplate gothic, or engravers.

I am leaning towards Engravers, myself.

More Pictures, getting close to finished...

I think that Algerian has a more Steampunk/VSF look to it.

It looks perfect!

I'm about to get to work on my own. Anything I should know about drilling into resin? I haven't done it before.

Engravers definitely has a generic Victorian feel.

That's what I was thinking, but legibility could suffer.

Regarding drilling into resin, I did some pilot holes with a hand drill (pin drill) first, then with the Dremel. Worked fine. Just do a couple of holes at a time, then clean the bit, then repeat. Cleaning the bit just needs to stop the drill, quick swipe with a dry paper towel, and ready to go again. Try to keep from getting any in your eyes or breathing it, but I didn't have any trouble with either.

The Algerian looks really cool, but I am concerned about legibility as well. One thought I have is to print the decal bold and large, then fill in with some gold brush work.
