Agreed but then you could use a myriad of 19th Century historicals in greatcoats with those heads and get better for even less

Very true words.

Gracias,

Glenn

Can't trust Evil Belgians, especially those on the interwebs  ;)

Helmets on those Avil ones are pretty poor, but with say a pig iron or Westwind SORT swop they could be useul.

I thought the same, I'm also not keen on the rifles. However, I've just noticed the bodies are sprued seperately to the other components and given that Anvil appear to sell all their other components seperately, they could be rather useful.

Most of those have got bedrolls on though  >:(
So many projects..... so little time.......

Looks too much like GW, (definitely not a plus,) to appeal without a specific purpose in mind.

I wouldn't have said that they looked particularly like GW, myself.  Figures and weapons are both more slender than is typical for Citadel and Forge World, and there are no spikes or skulls, all of which is quite welcome!

The FW only (Elysians and Death Corp at least) stuff is much more slender and better proportioned than the standard GW range. The conversion sets etc for the GW figs are of course the same.

Nice figures but I don't think "VSF" when I see them. A gasmask doesn't make them VSF. There is nothing historical about them that would tie them into any VSF theme.

Overall, they look to me like some kind of Weird WWII axis troops.

Not my cup of tea, I'm affraid.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Since the heads are seperate, easy enough to pith helemet them or differnet gas mask. Rifles are also seperate................... as well as the back packs.  Hmmmm

I was going to say similar, though a bit earlier. Perhaps Pulp minions...

I could warm to like them. Still fence-straddling at the moment.

Those of us with predominently opposing digits try to avoid things requiring any part swaps or green stuff; perhaps why we're more tolerant on figs in general...  lol

That, and being historical-blind to issues with bedrolls.  :D

I could see them as Expeditionary Force members traveling to a Stormy Cloud covered Venus with its heavy rains and sometimes noxious plant pollens.........and all the vast mineral wealth up for grabs :)
