I don't think the feel/scale of the wicker would have felt quite right and also it would be a bugger to cast!!

Ooh, is this for casting and (with luck) sale, then?

Now who makes a 28mm Edward Woodward?

A Killer B "Geezers!" policeman, perhaps?  Not very nice minis, though.

We older, parochial Yanks tend to think of Mr. Woodward as 'The Equalizer'.

I'd have expected that wargamers, of any age and nationality, would think first of Callan.

Personally I always recall the awful joke about no "d"s  ::)

Oddly enough, when I think of wargamers, it's the Lonely character in Callan that first comes to mind.  lol

Don't think it got play in the US. At least, I don't recall it, and the whole Danger Man/John Le Carre mash up seems like something I'd wish for. I followed McGoohan through DM (SA) to The Prisoner, gladly, and rather a Alec Guinness' George Smiley fan, though I've not seen the most recent incarnation.

The Equalizer, on the other hand was rather a hit for at least a year or two. (Quick look at IMDB) Four seasons broadcast suggests that.

Listen, even if the Wickerman is restricted to just the commission, which I'd understand, as the Eddie head seems a side project,
I'd be hoping that might be available!

Well, Proust always maintained that the sense of smell was the most evocative.

Oh, boo!

Ah, well if you do catch up with the feature film of Callan, or the pilot episode "A Magnum for Schneider", on which it is based, you'll find that our assassin anti-hero uses wargaming as a means to get near to his victim: they play a Napoleonics game, and then a refight of Gettysburg.

Bob Cordery's blog has images of both games:

Andym, still there? Are we fruitlessly hoping for our own wickerman, or parts thereof?

SteveF: Didn't the movie Ronin kick off a whole 'tabletop within a film' discussion? I would have put up a few episodes of The Avengers as near misses.

Later that day: I've just posted some screen grabs from The Avengers to that thread.

Missed that one; reminds me a bit of the scene from the movie Great Catherine, though I never was the fan of Jeanne Moreau.

I'll do my best! ;)

I redone a wee bit of the head and added on more of a neck. I wasn't happy how it sat.....

I've also done a bit to the normal head. I'll sculpt a cage door in the centre. One that can't be opened on the model!

The body is also been elongated and I've started a cage in the bottom part of that too.

Cheers for the comments guys!!

OK I can't even spot the change in what you've done, but I love it all the same.

Doing well indeed!

I was fine with the first version, though hard to tell without more shots from other angles. You are probably correct for a wickerman, though. Standing proud, and all that.

Cheers for the comments guys!!

Good gosh, those that can, do, those that can't, put on these silly little skirts and shake pompoms.

And if that isn't a disturbing image, I don't know what is!  lol
