Never seen that one before - but beautiful nonetheless :D

Who's Dragontooth by the way? Don't really ring any bells :)

Unfortunately lost in that base gravel mate. Much too big and unpainted it detracts from the piece and removes the suspension of disbelief, (ie the gravel looks out of scale).

Nice old mini though, (gandalf with pigtails), just needs a base rethink ;)

Cheers

On that base because it is a one off - if I had more it would be a 'normal' cavalry base but I haven't seen another one of these  :(  I like the base but appreciate the c&c.

No issue with base size mate, just the size of the gravel and the fact its unpainted. Also, be one sore set of pony hooves walking over that ;).

:D Good point, I will be 'revisiting' the base - maybe washes etc?

Thanks for posting DD. It's really inspiring looking at these old pieces, although this one in particular I think is a little conservative there were some really "far out" ideas back then, I'd love to remake a few of the bigger/madder sculpts from Dragon tooth, archive, Etc.

Thinking about it DD, who owns the rights to these ancient minis?

Tom Loback ran Dragontooth and sculpted many of the miniatures - I think everything sticks with him but from all counts he is not interested in re-releasing things. Steven Tofano did a number of pieces for him and some have been re-released by Perth Pewter.

Thanks, if he's not interested in rereleasing them then it'd be interesting if somehow he'd give rights to resculpt them as "modern standard" minis.

....I'll put on my mile long maybe to do one day list!

To be honest, the sculpt isn't that good, but the painting and the atmosphere of the figure make it look great!
