Not so hard to believe when you recall that they were sculpted by the Perrys.  This was the best range ever produced for chivalric romance, in my opinion (I just can't get past the 1980s shoulderpads on Tom Meier's Thunderbolt Mountain range).  Then GW decided they needed moar skullz.

Anyway, nice paint on those.  If it's the Hundred Years War, the dysentery obviously hasn't struck yet!

These look great!  I've been considering selling the plastic figures I have like yours in favor of the very nice metal ones that match these....I think you have convinced me to keep at least a few of them.

Well done.

A very nice unit. Your site is very inspirational. I always find myself stumbling onto it.

Now I don't mean to nit pick but there is an error that may be kind of important in the modelling of the miniatures (which I do love along with the brushwork!  8) ).

The manner in which the bowmen are dressed sets them firmly in the pre Agincourt era. Up until the battle of Agincourt stakes were not used, though pits in the ground were dug, this is exemplified in the battle of Crecy.

As the HYW (not a constant war as such) wore on tunics, gambesons and the like all got shorter so by the time you reach 1415 they are mostly very short when compared to Crecy, Poitiers and even Otterburn.

As I say, I dig the painting but just thought I'd pop this info in as it may (or may not) be usefull in future.

Darrell.

I really am impressed with what you've done with all of the figures on your site, especially the mad heraldry on those spearmen  o_o

The companion billmen were very well sculpted too (also by the Perry twins).  Good poses, weapons in reasonable scale, realistic armor and helmets.
