Yes we can!!!   :-*

I'm very envious to not be there - went to the Companye of St George event at Gruyere last year and it was splendid. Will be going thru all your pics carefully for ideas - thanks for posting up. Next year will be a 25 year anniversary event, which I'll definitely be at somehow.
Cheers
Simon.

I took about 200 pictures, so I will add a few more later today to show some costume variations.

Mick,
I for one would be more than happy to see all 200 of your photos!
I've already spotted some faces from last year (the friar and the musicians for starters).
I've just seen that you've added descriptions - I note a couple of 'named individuals' from the gaming/ publishing world - do you happen to know these chaps beforehand may i ask?

Cheers
Simon.

I did not know the people before the event.  I asked if Gerrry Embleton was there as I have three of his books and I know he was a founding member.  I was introduced to his son who explained that Gerry no longer does reenaactments (he is about 71 now).  Mike was present and introduced himself when I explained that I have painted 280 Swiss and Burgundians using mostly Perry figures.

If you want the pictures, send me a PM with your address and I will save them to a USB key.

Assuming that was Michael Perry, I hope that the event gave him enough inspiration and reference materials to make a start on more Swiss!!!  ;)

A bit odd to see the Companie of St George - a group enacting a Burgundian company - donning Bernese livery for this event?

Cheers
Simon.

Simon,
Mike (Picture 24) is not Michael Perry, it is Mike Anderson.  He is a sculptor for Games Workshop and also a very good painter.

I think that the Companye of St George have the possibility to be Swiss, Burgundians, French, Lancastrians and Yorkists as appropriate for the venue. :-)

Thanks for posting, always good to see pictures of these highest quality reenactors.
Embleton's book's and the Companie's website are must see references for this period.

Dear Simon,

Sorry for the late reply - I just got back after 10 days touring factories in the Far East.
I received your message - thanks.

Tommorow I will go to the Römerfest near Basel.  I went last year with my wife and we both enjoyed it.
