After painting so much Germans, what I really enjoyed, it´s time for a change. As promised I painted up some 40mm Perry Peninsular stuff. A Lippe-Detmold Officer checking his watch and a guerillero. They will appear on the TACTICA in 2013 where I will run a participation game with my mate Björn, the author of my favourite ruleset "Triumph &Tragedy". That´s really cool because back in 2009 I ran my first game at TACTICA with him, SCW using his own rules. There are some more Frenchies and Guerrilleros to paint, so stay tuned.

Nice... I am usually not a big fan of highlighting black with greys, but here it really pops!

Thank you for posting my favorite period i.e. the Peninsula War. You have managed to get a terrific amount of character into these figures, the Spaniard in particular looks as if he has spent a lot of time in the field, one question - the guerrilla seems to be wearing a white cockade I wondered why as the Spanish colour was red ? Please d,ont take this as any type of critisism but a genuine inquiry. Having said this I realise the Spanish at this time used anything at hand as their supply system was almost non existent.

Excellent work there. My own hand is not so good I could try 40mm, but these have a gritty character perfect for skirmish games.
