Thanks  :)

Lovely stuff.
I'm really not a fan of the Fireforge stuff but you've made me question that. It's too easy to pose them to look like kid's toys. But good, thoughtful, poses (and a damn good paint job) really brings them out.

Yes, I think that's it really.
Boshed together straight from the box, the Fireforge plastics look like sub-Games-Workshop-alikes. But actually, the FF bodies and most of the heads are actually pretty good. Ditto the Frostgrave plastic sets from North Star. It's the wretched bendy arms and outsized weapons which give them the cartoony, fantasy vibe.
Judicious mixing with Perry medieval components, plus a bit of forethought about poses, can produce large numbers of very nice (and unique) figures  :)

We want Bob the baker! Bring on Bob the baker!  lol

I'm waiting for Bob the Bobber, who ducks for apples to earn a living, Bob the Bookbinder and Bob the Business Analyst, a man who was years ahead of his time.

Great painting again Richard, looking forward to seeing them in the flesh

How about Bob the plumb line maker?

Great to see this thread revived and these new additions are just magic.

Thanks Christopher.

How about Bob the plumb line maker?

lol
Did he work on the spire of Salisbury Cathedral?
It's a good gag, but I'm looking for peasant trades beginning with B.
Bob the bobber is in with a shout. Bob the business analyst, less so  ;)

Ooh can't wait for BLAM now Richard, are these making an appearance?

In Silent Invader's FFOL-adapted game on Sunday. Haven't you built your team yet, Jeff? There's still time you know ;)

So I'll go back to my disregard for Fireforge plastics. But I still stand by the claim that you've made a cracking job of yours.

Thanks again.
To be fair to FF though, Sir Renaud (both foot and mounted versions) is made entirely from Fireforge parts, and I don't think he looks too fantastical... (apart perhaps from the overlong lance... )
But certainly kit-bashing with the Perry parts gives more, um.. 'historical' looking figures.

Absolutely gorgeous minis  :-*

Each retinue will have an archer, a spearman and a peasant, as well as a mounted and dismounted version of each knight. It’s a bit of an attempt to recapture the fun of ‘Cry Havoc’ for those who are old enough to recall that excellent boardgame…

Now that’s a good idea.

There were occupations known as a Bottom Knocker and also a Bumboat man. And there was a shortened version of Badger Baiter known as a  Badger, someone who was basically a pauper (and wore a badge with the letter 'P' to prove it, who went around trying to flog items door to door, hence 'badgering' people to pay for things. And of course there was the trade of bodger.

This (and other) project(s) of yours is truly a work of art and a great piece of inspiration. Looking forward to seeing more.

I agree the points about the fireforge plastics, but I might get some as well to mix up with Perry parts for my own Feudal Fantasy Force (FFF).
