Fantastic stuff Captain! I enjoyed reading through the whole of this thread and it's good to see you back at it again :)

Can I ask what head you used on the enforcer? It doesn't look like one I've seen on the Fireforge sprues I've used.

Thanks :)

It's one of the two heads on the small command frame in the Conquest Games 'Medieval Archers' set. (I suspect it may be a duplicate one of the existing heads in their other Norman sets, but I don't have those so can't say for sure).

I think the Medieval Archers set overall is pretty ropey - weird straight-legged stances on the bodies, soft detail, and with 'half-arms' that are difficult to pose realistically. But I have used a few of the heads, which always provide some more variety :)

It looks good on the Fireforge body :)

Interesting to hear that it's not that great a set - the Conquest sets look ok from the photos, although not a patch on the Perry plastics (but what is...)

Well, just my opinion obviously. I’m sure there are some people out there who love them  :)
There’s a thread about them somewhere on here...

EDIT: In fact, here you are...

Thanks for the link - I shall have a read :) I'm trying to find plastics from slightly different periods that can be kit bashed for ASoIaF - it's proving hard to find anything that can compare to the Perries so more info is really helpful :)

And... Back in the room!

Well, just a year and a bit later...  ::)
Finally got round to painting a few of my peasants. I urgently needed a gang of three oiks to round out a Fistful of Lead faction for a game last night. The game didn't happen thanks to the sickly constitution of our host... Still, at least it forced me to get these done, having sat gathering dust on the shelf for two years... So I suppose I should thank him. Thank you Nicholas...  >:D)

Without further ado, may I present the first of quite a large number of peasant scum, all called Bob, as previously established some way above  lol

Meet Bob the blacksmith, Bob the butcher, and Bob the baker... All armed with what FFOL charmingly classifies as 'Bashing weapons'  :)

If you want to see what bits they're kitbashed from, you'll have to wade several pages up in this thread. Sorry about that  :)

I think they will make a suitably drab and colourless (yet characterful) addition to the otherwise whipsmart retinue of Sir Renaud de Brassey...

What no stripes??? :D

So you're going for three D8 Henchmen in your retinue? interesting.... :D

They do look very good indeed and I will look forward to testing their Mettle next week >:D

Excellent work on the latest additions.

I think that lowly rabble can be fun to work on- it's always the leaders that get the extra attention!
