It did happen lol

Following those encounters, an arms race is now underway to build out our retinues... To which end, here's the newly minted retinue of Sir Gascon Du Frottez, Knight of the Holy Military Order of Arimithea...

Here's the original mounted Sir Gascon I made and painted several years ago, see page 4 of this thread... Together with his original dismounted version (on the left) who previously sported a mop of blond hair - now surgically removed.
However, I've decided I don't like him (way too much like Boris Johnson), so I've made another dismounted Sir Gascon (on the right) to replace him.
New Sir Gascon is a bit of a bodge job because I didn't have another duplicate Fireforge barrel helm of the same denomination, so I adapted another great helm with a bit of Green Stuff. It's close enough.

The original dismounted Sir Gascon (on the left) is now re-cast as Brother-Serjeant Aubert Blanche-Dubois.

Here's the whole new gang... L-R, Ribaud the spearman, Sir Gascon du Frottez, Bob the bowman, Albéric the spearman, Begum the archer.

I've also reinforced the retinue of Sir Renaud DeBrassey with the addition of Cerdic the enforcer…

Here he is with the his chums and his lord and master...

Hmmm... His shield seems a bit more grimy than the rest of the troop - he must have seen more action, oh well...

Since Sir Renaud and Sir Gascon both have cream as the base colour for their livery, by keeping those two new bowmen neutral, sans heraldic insignia, I can also use them in the retinue of Sir Renaud - comme ca! Double duty - yay!  :D

Here are the two retinues so far, including a bunch of Bobs (all-purpose peasantry).

Now I just have just another six mounted/dismounted knights to make retinues up for...
This could take some time...  ::)

Gorgeous as always. The faces are amazing, I always struggle with those tight hoods and helmets.

Hot damn, another great gang. I love Celtic crosses for some reason.

Now you are talking....  ;)

Particularly like the grime on Cedric the Enforcer, and your whites in general
