Wow. Just found an Owl Totem statue on CP models that bears a striking likeness.

Baba Yaga painted up. She's holding the talking skull that serves as her doorkeep and has her spider familiar popping out between her arm. Not bat on this one though.

and the antwerp

and both of them.

Awesome sauce!  8)

They both painted up really well. Will you be doing terrain along the line too? My favorite part of the town was the targeting range at the south wall. Pretty easy to climb the vines there too at night, when the gates were closed... :)

You're forgiven about the bat btw...  ;D

Cool.
The Baba Yaga reminds me of Scotia, of the Lands of Lore series.

Thanks. I've never played Lands of Lore but the resemblance is very similar.

And another three years later, some more progress.
I was going to originally buy the metal version of this one from Reaper but as it was part of the bones range I backed the kickstarter and waited for it to be sent. Years later than that I've managed to get him painted.
This is the ogre guarding the kobolds cave. I decided not to go for the orange hair and pink skin and blue clothes. I decided against that, mainly because I was using contrast paints, he does however still have the club and a barrel (treasure chest).

I really should make a catalogue of what I still need to purchase and paint. I have some Saurus minis, and also the Mantray. Still thinking about how to make the Cheetaur (as I've not actually thought about making it for years).
Okay, so stay tuned for another miniature in 2023.

Great stuff again 8)

Well, at least you got another mini in; my project's been dormant for way too long already. I really should put some more work in, one of these days... ::)

The mini works really well and even though I'm glad you didn't go for the CGA colours in that picture (although it's probably EGA, judging by the presence of yellow), I feel he should have been a bit more garish than the realistic tones you used.

Still; another one down, so you might well get this finished before the turn of the decade; there's still time! lol

Have you decided on what minis to use for the goblins yet? The brigands could by now be very well represented by the plastic Frostgrave Soldiers or Cultists I reckon...

lol, yes. I probably should have gone a bit more out there, but I really just did him to fit the rest of the ogres I painted. If I'm inclined (which I won't be, haha) I might do another one with the more garish look, slightly pinker skin would be easier and maybe give him a curly mop.
I thought I'd popped the goblins up. I've actually finished a couple with the correct colour scheme. I've got the Mantray mini and also the Saurus, they may need to be an light red rather than the pink of the game. Thanks for the comments. You may have just spurred me to paint a couple more :) Long weekend coming up for me.

The Saurus.
unnamed by Kieran Me, on Flickr
I decided not to go for all purple (just some purple claws) just because I thought it would look very strange in the flesh(metal) so I went for red and pink, The Saurus Rex (large version) is red with blue stripes so I thought this would be a great colour for the small version. Reaper velociraptors.

The Mantray.

Quite a bit darker than the QFG version but basically the same colours. It has a lightnin effect w=on the tail when it strikes so I did a green colour to it to distinguish it from the rest. Reaper stingray (or some sort of ray)

In the grand scheme of things, you're really cranking them out now, aren't you? :D

The raptors are great; the perfect minis for the job. I have some tamiya velociraptors myself, for use in Lost World scenarios, but they're way too large for this purpose. they were easy to build and fun to paint though.

And the ray looks to be spot on! I had expected to perhaps see a Tzeentch Screamer here, but this mini is far better for the purpose.

The colour choices are sensible too by the way ;)

Well after another good loooong stretch I've made some more progress.
Another Mantray, I'd forgotten I'd already painted one to be honest but here it is.

This photo looks more like the attacking photos from the game.
I've also finished Shameen, Reaper bones mini but not photographed.

Wow; pace yourself, brother!  lol

Seriously though; another fine addition to the bestiary.

And will you be using your 3D skills to now actually build Spielburg?  ;)

lol, yeah, almost pulled a muscle on this one.
I guess I'd better make a Spielburg. To be honest, I'd really like to make it.

Here's the next one. Shameen.
