A good source for 28mm Fern?

I've been looking around the net, and although I found some options such as brass etchings and smaller HO ferns, I really need a lot. And quite inexpensive as well since I'm planning to cover an area of about 50 square centimetres.
All suggestions are welcome, and I'm positive that my attempts have failed so far due to my inability to understand Train Modelling and such.
I also looked at some paper-ferns, but they were a bit "flat" in my opinion.

Paper ferns are flat that's true, but you know that ferns are flat themselves? I'd recommend you to look at Busch plastic ferns and Noch lasercut paper ferns. Both are far to straight and you'll have to bend them into shape.

They are fronds from cheap model railroad palm trees, bought on eBay from a chinese seller. There are a variety of palm trees available. Cheap. We're talking 20-100 trees, depending on size, each good for a number of ferns, for about £8.

On the picture I've just cut the fronds off, mounted them and given them a little highlight.
I think they're pretty neat.

Do you need it fast, Silversixx? I've got some to spare.

I know that they're flat as per say, but I meant that they lacked details But I will give them a try!

I did, but not all... I was watching a coulpe of palm trees with a price of 14 for 3 quid, but this is far better. Besides, I need to cover a very large area!

Buy some nice brass ones and then fill in the gaps with paper ones. After all, there's no point making such a large area all perfect, no one will notice.

I had some thoughts about that, but the area I need to cover is rather large, and should also be full of fern. It's the north pacific rain forest of Seattle after all So the actual cost would be an arm and a leg. But I've ordered the above already, and also went with Henrix's suggestion and accidently bought 120 palm trees...

I second this idea, if you go for even smaller scale palm trees they're even better value.

I realised that. A pack of 100 N-Scale trees cost me 6 quid (7.5 with shipping)
I hope they arrive soon. Otherwise the project will end up in the classic limbo. And I can't really say that it hasn't happened before

With shipping this lot cost me 13.50 pounds. Which I do believe is rather affordable
