Teutonic Knights
« on: August 17, 2012, 06:30:10 PM »
Hi all

I've only just joined the forum, so thought I'd start out with showing some of my Teutonic Knights that I recently finished painting:

More on my blog if you would like to have a look:

Great looking figs! What is your plan with these? WAB? Hail Caesar? KowWHAC?

Funny about hating white paint; it's not so bad once you get used to it ;)

Great looking figures. You are braver than me. I have some Knights Templar that I need to paint, but the white / off-white  painting is making me nervous. I have seen others here and on TMP and their figures look great. I just don't want to screw mine up, wishing that I hadn't bought them when I really would like to paint them.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys.

I had originally purchased them to go into a Bretonnian army for 3rd Edition of Warhammer, but plans change! I don't have time for that project (I already have unpainted High Elves and Lizardmen to do!!) so thought I'd have a go at paitning them up as they should be! I do play Warhammer Ancients, but all my gaming for this will be in 1:72 plastics, which is my preferred scale!  :D

Yeah, white certainly isn't the easiest. It was also very time consuming, but it's well worth the painful effort!  :)

They are great. Dunno why but suddenly all things late medieval are appealing to me. Your work has inspired me to search the leadmountain and produce some knights myself. many thanks for posting and like Oliver Twist

"Please Sir, can I have some more?"

Not really Late Medieval, more circa first quater to last quater of the 13th C.

I must add that the painting is lovely and I look forward to seeing them based up.

Thanks guys!  :)

No bases on these I'm afraid as I have no plan to use them and will just sell them on as they are, which will give someone the chance to base them how they need them!

Respect for painting a good white! Always avoided it in the past and have only just started using it again.
