Tomb Game
« on: August 19, 2012, 02:38:15 AM »
I ran a Mummy's tomb game using Astounding Tales this afternoon.  I had three teams with eight figures to a team.  There were cultists, treasure hunters, and archeologists.  The tomb itself was built by me.  Here are some pics of the game:

You can find more photos here:

Thanks for looking,

Great looking game.
May I ask what materials you used to build your tomb?

Excellent, I really love the look of your tomb. It's really clever how you built those tiles. In your construction post, you mention Project Bricks and Egyptian Toobs. Does anyone know if these are available in the UK?

Love this so much I've just ordered three bags of Project Bricks on eBay and have moved the tomb raiding game to the top of the list.

Now... all I have to do is decide whether to go with Egypt, Mesoamerica or China for the tomb's theme.

Love the idea, they are available on Amazon, do they ship to the UK?  :D

What's the consistency of the bricks.  I'm under the impression they are quite soft.

That's looking rather good!! Even though at first I thought 'hey it's not even painted' - but that last picture won me over!

The bricks are actually pretty durable.  They come coated in  cream colored paint.  When I painted them I mixed some white glue in with my paint to give them a little more strength.

I only painted the walls.  The floors are just natural sand.  I was going to add some Egytian murals but I wanted to leave it generic so I can use it for fantasy dungeon crawls.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.  Im happy I was able to inspire some new projects.

Nice! I built a gladiator arena for my son's LEGO gladiators w/ Project Bricks. Great material. Mine were black, from the Halloween sets that should be out any day now!

The terrain looks great; I may have to revisit my own tomb terrain and steal some of your ideas.

The layout looks pretty sweet. My wife got me a box of project bricks not long ago. Time to start building.
