Any interest in seeing this in 28mm?
« on: August 24, 2012, 10:54:45 AM »
I'm just trying to guage interest in whether or not anyone would be interested in this piece if I had it sculpted up and cast. The piece is by my new concept artist, JR Branch, who has been a friend of mine for nearly 20 years. He's a great guy and I think great things will be coming soon.

She could easily fit into a lot of futuristic settings. Currently I see her as a futuristic hacker with the handle, U-es-bee. As deadly in the net as she is beautiful, she's willing to put her skills to use for the highest bidder.

Let me know what you'll think.

She reminds me of Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, but I'm guessing that's sort of the point. :)
I'd like to see it and as part of a larger range of post-cyberpunk minis.

Nice, but it reminds me of figs in the the current UM Syntha line.

I think it would be a cool looking model that would easily fit in with sci-fi games like Sedition Wars. That said, I'm personally covered in a plastic mountain with sci-fi miniatures from Gears of War, Doom, Doom the expansion, Space Hulk 3rd ed, Heroxclix aliens, and yes, soon Sedition Wars...  o_o

But, I'm positive other people will be interested.

My first thought was Shadowrun.  I am sure there is always a market for buxom cyber chicks...?

The overall concept is very similar to Shadowrun. This was actually a piece the artist had done before we reconnected and I asked if I could use it as concept.

I, personally, would never buy  the figure - design doesn't match my SF needs.  Others might.

I assume it also would be in a size I no longer want to expand - 25+ mm?

For a concept sketch it has merit - a lot in lost or gained in the sculpting.

Looking forward out of casual hobby interest to where this goes in the future.  (pun intended.)

Gracias,

Glenn

Assuming the final sculpt was good enough, yeah, I'd buy it.

Tobias,
This would be one of the first CyberSlums pieces and the game would eventually come together. I'm still refining everything at the moment. Need to work out the kinks and polish up the background.

Thanks to all for the comments. Very helpful so far.

+1.

Like I said on another forum, I'd like to see how the "fiddly bitz" get done. The cabling and such, that is.

So far the concept looks good. I'd buy it if the mini looks somehow similar. What's Cyberslums? Being an old CP2020 player I'd be more than interested in a cyberwear-heavy mini line, or even game.
Far less active than I used to...

Hei Rob,

would be interested what you've done rules-wise so far, so feel freeto contact me if you still could use some help;)

Cyberslum are some "Shadowrun-like" tabletop rules Rob is working on.
Had the pleasure to testplay it quite a bit ;)
