VBCW - The Goliath
« on: September 06, 2012, 03:56:26 PM »

There's a more instantly readable pdf: http://slugindustries.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/goliath-ad.pdf.

This is the biggest vehicle we've made thus far, and in the excitement of getting it finished I mucked up the paintjob on first one which I'm blaming on the hot weather - that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. The idea behind it is part Scammel Scarab with it's high maneuverability (having a trike layout and therefore able to turn on the spot) plus the usual ridiculousness of the VBCW funnies.

It comes with a pair of turrets, and there's a choice of two designs:

I've taken the opportunity to pay tribute to three fellow VBCW'ers with this model, the Turret on the right is the "Price" after jp1885, the one on the right is the "Purdue" after Ook and the gunports are the "Hastings" after... er, Hastings.

Available from: http://slugindustries.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/goliath-armoured-vehicle-28mm/

I think this might also prove suitable for pulp and weird world wars etc.
Tally Ho!

Rather a fine piece of work.  Should go down well with the VSF guys as well?

I approve!
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

No it's a scratchbuild with one eye on the Scammel and another on the interwar Foden.

Looks good.
Widen the front axle and use it for post apocalyptical settings also.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

Ta.
No it's deliberately a trike design for maneuvering, however the wheels are seperate so folk can do what they wish with it.

Well done!  However, I would like the storage boxes on the sides to be seperate parts, so one could opt for a slimmer vehicle.  Your thoughts please, Phil?

They'd be quite easy to saw off.
