Good to see this finally come to fruition chaps. I'm thinking you should corner the terrain market too and bring out buildings and waterways specifically for Mars (which no doubt will be useful for Venus etc..).
Don't!

Unfortunately I don't do multi-part but good luck with the new venture, and I second the terrain suggestion.

Nice looking figures chaps! They may be multipart but at least they are not plastic!!!!! Good luck with the venture!

I suppose the molds don't allow spare torsos and arms; seems could be bashed to make wicked Tharks, me thinks.

I shall refer to the "skiff" only in quotes; sounds large for the term but I quibble. Whatever you call it, I'm most interested to have a look. Any teasers as to form?

Brilliant start from what I can see. Dreading the thought of cross-pond postage already.

Dreading the thought of cross-pond postage already.

Find a cheap flight across, bring a suitcase full of disposable tee-shirts or American contaband (figures & kits from US companies, reenactment supplies, etc) and then re-fill the case with Martian goodness to take home.

No postage  :~}

Sounds right, until you see what airlines are starting to charge on baggage fees. *sigh*

Nice to see you two have finally tied the knot...  ;)  :D

Best of luck with this venture. If I ever manage to get back into my VSF armies I'll definitely be picking some of these up.  :)

Thanks again chaps  :)

Todays blog post is a small treatise on the history of Mars. Below is a little snippet but the full whack is on the blog.

The vast mountain ranges, previously inaccessible and unoccupied, began to attract explorers and who eventually created homes and communities in the lofty peaks. Martian culture began to split and fragment between the traditionalists who believed in the riches of the soil and trade to sustain their lives and the forward thinking 'Sky' Martians who believed in the properties of the gems to be a gift of the neglected Martian gods. Taking to the sky was the only way forward. Even though their culture split, there was no real enmity between the two, they still traded and dealt with each other amicably. This was until the storms came.

I've added a battle report to the blog. It's been seen before but seeing as we have started a narrative campaign on Mars it seemed a better place to have it.

http://redplanetminiatures.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/the-first-battle-report.html

There will be short passages between the reports from the Martian point of view similar in style to the blogs opening text.

All will be revealed in the fullness of time  :)

We have a brief report on the Sky Martian clans on the blog with a short extract here to whet your whistle  :)

Invariably with such a fierce culture there will be conflict between the clans and this happens on a regular basis but not to the extent that there is total civil war. Some of the reasons for inter-clan warfare are usually small and petty, seemingly created as an excuse rather an an actual reason but other times it can develop into a blood feud that can last for several generations.

The second battle report has been added to the blog. It's been on here before but I've changed some of the text and altered the pictures to make it feel less like mates having a game  :)

Missed this the first time around...really good to see this new direction and loved reading the Martian timeline. Congratulations and look forward to seeing how this progresses.
