Two glorious Lancastrian failures
« on: September 10, 2012, 10:00:39 PM »

After what has seemed an age I have finally completed 54 Perry mounted men at arms. The two units consist of 4 boxes and 6 metals. The first represents 'The Flower of Craven' just before their demise at Dintingdale. Lord Clifford and some lads from around my neck of the woods. The second represents the mounted arm at Blore Heath, complete with Audley, Dudley, the Bastard of Exeter, some Midland lords and a few Nevilles just in case. Most of the pics show them en masse just for fun.

I don't think I will attempt to paint so many miniatures in one go again. It did feel like it would never end. Work has been crazy over the summer so that didn’t help. Maybe I will feel different once the nights start drawing in and I’ve painted the dining room. Next element of the project is to sort out the field pieces and casualties.

Good God! Absolutely fantastic  :o :o :o :-*

Whilst I have been trolling through them one at a time, you've painted 54 of the buggers  ;D

They look superb.

But how come you're only showing 1 post?? You've been here a while now? What happened to your membership?  ???

Not sure what happened. Maybe inactivity? Though I have been looking and commenting if not posting. Tried to log on this evening and no go - said I didn’t exist. A bit harsh. Had to re-elect myself!

Your old account is still here and it's active, but it's 15th Panzer, with a blank.

Anyway, wonderful painting, well done!

How queer. I definitely tried with the space as I double checked my earlier posts username. Well no harm done apart from some choice language at the time. I guess one will fall into disuse and wither away. Two glorious failures seems even more apt now!

Des[ite your having to re-elect yourself, that is a superb effort!  :o

C'mon, Captain Blood, lift your game!  lol

Love the heading, but more importantly the miniatures are gorgeous.

Cheers,

Hi Michael,

Love the heavy horse. I'm looking to do the bastard of Exeter myself, where did you find his heraldry?

Kind regards,

Stephen
