Delightful, really.

You can see these are a way off the quality of some of the masters on this forum, but I do have a bias toward quantity...

Don't put yourself down. Those are a great deal better painted than most people manage. Besides, never mind the quality, feel the width  ;)

You have shamed me into making up the final five figures from my second box, so I shall shortly have 24 finished! Rather a way short of your magnificent total. But then, I still have my sanity :D (Just!)

A question of quality?

Are you bonkers?

I bet that there is not single soul on here that would not be seriously, stupidly happy to own those.
They are bloody lovely!

Gents, please don't misconstrue me. I am really happy with these and very proud to display them to my fellow leadheads. The reference to quality and quantity stems from my other project (the one mankind is completely unaware of). This is my AWI collection. These figures I invest more time on, but in much smaller unit sizes. I guess I spend at least half again more time per figure than my WotR figures. Being of an age where I would be blown away by Peter Gilder's collosal collections I have always been trying to get a piece of that for myself. Balance that with my career in the creative industry that has taught me the devils in the detail. The good thing is that over the last 600 of so WotR figures the quality has improved while the time taken has reduced! Perfect example of practice makes a damn sight better.

Also, I can recommend a painting aid that helped in the finishing of these Lords. The audio version of Wolf Hall. Narrated by Simon Slater, it is a gem. I had started to read it a couple of times but always got side tracked. Highly recommended listening.

Stunning! Those were all a joy to look at! I love how you paint the metal! So smooth and realistic!

Absolutely beautiful. I wish I could paint even half as well as you do!

Hello Silent - my Yorkists are on a separate strand called 'testing testing one two three battles.' Currently about page 5 or 6 in this medieval section. Each battle contains 160 figures. There are also some shots of the first 160 Lancastrian foot. Still have about 300 foot or so to paint before I put this project to bed. I'm saving the Lancastrian pike to finish on as a treat. Half way through the field pieces at present. Be finished next year hopefully. Cheers.
