Thanks all. Eric, I am only planning to do the one at this point but I probably will bash up an elevated grannery as well.

This looks great...from personal experience you always need more than one ! Can I suggest you start on the other 3-4 you will need now for your village and 'cut the corners'.

Eric,  you are a very bad influence  lol lol
Here are the latest upgrades.  I coated the roof with PVA and then put three coats of paint on.

Then, I painted the base of the hut.

Here is what the hut looks like now.

All that is left is finishing the door, working on an interior fire pit, and gluing the static grass on the base.

Had a nice long weekend so I started an elevated grannery to go along with the hut.  It really isn't quite as crooked as the photo makes it look, I swear  lol

I'm hoping top work some more on the hut but expect to be dragged off for a day at the beach.

Oh, how terrible , I hope my sincere sympathy comes across as I watch the cold rain drizzle from a murky London sky  ;)

Looks good Lon, did you have to go and rob another restaurant or did you have some matting left over?  lol

Chris,
When I set out to do something I try and do it properly.  I snagged two of the mats.  My wife was well and truly mortified to find it in her purse for the *second* time when we made it home from brunch  lol lol.  So far I have only used up about 1/2 of one of them.

Excellent forward planning Lon, you should be able to get a reasonable village going before you have to go a'plundering again  lol

Ged, Malamute and me are going out for a Thai in a couple of weeks, I'll be sure and wear my shoplifting coat  ;)

Malamute,
No I'm actually a pretty law abiding citizen...but those matts were way too tempting  :D ;D
Here is a  view of the pretty much finished hut and grannery.

and another

Now I have to figure out what is attracting my Pulp adventurers...Hmm, I may have to figure out how to model a diamond mine now.

Looks great - but I still think the 'village' needs a few more dwellings ;)
